The simplest action you can do to make an impact on people

The Philippines has been hit by the strongest typhoon this year. It was a challenge for all of us to conquer this battle. In other countries, people will feel sad, depressed and devastated. It’s different in my country. We are one of the friendliest and happiest people in the world despite being a developing country. We face every calamity with a smile and helping each other, we may not have the most expensive thing, but a simple smile can be a powerful tool to fight this battle. …

When they say no, accept it without asking questions

Whenever someone invites me to attend a party or gatherings. I always feel the urge the decline. I don’t have the energy to deal with a lot of people. I can handle one or two friends.

I enjoy the company of some people, especially when we have the same interests. Some people really drain me. Like, I don’t want to be with them. I want to go home. But I can’t say it, I’m afraid that I might hurt their feelings.

Here’s the guide I wrote on how to deal with introverts.

Respect their alone time

The most comfortable place for an introvert is…

“Write even if you don’t feel like it.”

Every day I sit at my desk. Stare at the blank white screen. Watching how the cursor blink. I breathe. I don’t want to write. I don’t have the energy to put words together. I have a creative block. I just want to lay in my bed and watch movies. I stood up, but my brain whispered in my ears:

“Write even if you feel like it.”

It is a very useful reminder for me. Even if I feel lazy or tired. I let myself write anything. I let myself go with the flow, whatever my brain wants to create. I write about what happened that day…

We, humans tend to look at what other people have that we don’t. Money, fame, and fortune that we always wish we have. We are making ourselves miserable thinking that we need to have all those things to be happy.

Have you seen people on the other side of the world? Have you seen people suffering everyday just to live? Have you seen the Philippines facing its battle but still managed to smile? The greatest lesson I learned this year is to be grateful. I realized that we are more privileged than we think we are.

Thoughts on Gender Equality

Photo by Flavia Jacquier from Pexels

In the world that we have, how can we eliminate sex discrimination and attain gender equality? Will the gap ever be fully closed? Or will gender equality be one of those gender issues that cannot be truly achieved?

Gender equality continues to be a prevalent issue in society today due to the persistent gap in access to opportunities for women and men.

Gender equality is a fundamental human right that every human being is entitled to regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, or religion.

The roles men and women play in society are socially determined, and as a result, the gender…

There are so much happening around the world. People’s movement is limited. We can’t go out without a mask and social distancing.

Many people lost their jobs because of the closure of many establishments due to this pandemic. Everyone’s struggling and trying to make money for a living.

There is one place where we can find more opportunities for everyone and that is the online world: type and click.

Thousands of people started their blog and youtube channel. This is a competitive world. This scenario is like survival of the fittest. …

Benefits of quitting porn and masturbation

When I was researching random topics online, I saw a post about NoFap. I wasn't familiar with the word. I tried to broaden my knowledge about it.

The term NoFap came from the word "fap," which is internet slang for the sound of jerking off. You know — fapfapfapfap. It's a challenge to stop masturbating and watching porn.

Okay, some will say, "I am a horny man, and I can’t live without doing it." or "It’s quarantine, and I need to entertain myself."

I tried it, and I hope to continue longer than 30 days. …

He was inspired by Steve Jobs

Christian Owens spent his evenings and weekends when he was 14 to learn web design. In a span of two years he made more that one million dollars when he built his own website called Mac Box Bundle — an online store offering a combination of various Apple applications and utilities available for a short time at a big discount. His inspiration came from other successful businesses like Apple Inc.

According to him, “There is no magic formula for business success, what you need is determination, commitment and the desire to make something really great. That’s what helped me succeed.”

It’s for everyone

I read thousands of articles, and most of them are how-tos. How to live a happier life. How to earn a million dollars in a year. Secrets to becoming the best version of yourself. You can be successful if you do this and that. I shake my head. Reality is not like that. There’s no secret to becoming successful.

And here’s why.

There is no definition of success

I was a happy type of kid. I enjoy reading a book alone, but I give time to enjoy and hang with my friends. Until an incident happened, we went to a lagoon, and we almost get drowned. My friend managed to get us all out of the water before we die. I was so scared. All I could hear was my heart pounding in my chest. We went home, but I was wondering why my heart’s still beating fast. I was a 16-year-old kid. I don’t know what to do. We were eating dinner when I told my parents…
