I failed my test but learned
Get rid of distractions
I opened my microbiology book and try to read. I was reading the words but my mind is thinking about going out with friends, watching the new Netflix series or travel to an Island in the Philippines.
I heard a sound on my phone, I stopped reading. I picked up my phone and there’s a snap from my friend showing his tattoo on a private part that made me laugh.
I continued with watching Tiktok and YouTube videos. I forgot about studying my lessons and I failed my test.
Whose fault is it? Mine.
Why? Because I let all the distraction control me instead of doing what is important.
I decided that it’s time for some change. It can’t be like this forever or else I will lose the most important thing I have. Time.
What should I do?
Remove Phone Distractions
I decided to delete the applications on my phone that waste my time. I know this will make me feel the so called “Fear of Missing Out” (FOMO). No more updates for a new dance craze or a trendy outfit. But on the positive note, it gives my mind a space to prioritize what truly matters. I’d rather spend time with my family and friends than be on my phone.
